Miami did what Miami does.

On Monday, the Miami Hurricanes dropped their new '2001 tribute' uniforms. The uniforms resemble the 2001 uniform that the Hurricanes wore when they won the national championship and became arguably the best college football team in history.

Miami's No. 5 Armondo Blount, No. 1 Mohamed Toure, and No. 78 Matthew McCoy were on the cover of the photoshoot. What do we think, Hurricanes nation? We'll see the new 2001 uniforms in action for the first time in 25 years.

These r way better than any fan jersey we’ve had since the switch to Adidas & way better than the 2001 Mitchell & Ness throwback.

 

If we being honest the addidas one is way better. The nike one looks dingy..It was great for that time tho and my favorite design for us but the new one is just way cleaner, i hope nike does a version too next year . These should be worn every year

Well friend, I would hope they would be a bit dingy since these r photos of them in game after sweat & dirt have been applied. Lol.

It’s to show the difference in the collar, & the color palette. Nevertheless, Adidas did really, really well here. Don’t think they should worn every year as this is an important 25th anniversary to celebrate the 2001 team, but probably every 5-10 yrs as a throwback.

Prayers up for @TheOriginalCane . Miami finally gives us jerseys worth celebrating and this man is having an existential crisis because nobody asked to see his diploma. Somebody get this man a fundraising letter ASAP.

 

I just found this seller on eBay. Lots of sizes of different Canes gear. Got a $90 sweatshirt for about $40 and a $100 quarter zip for about $40. Both came new with tags. That will probably be the end of my adidas gear. Saved a bit though (poors thread).
