Appreciate the hoops cast on a late school night. A few quick hitters from opening night:
- Nwoko and George were by far the largest bodies in the gym when they stepped on the court. A lineup of Omier, Nwoko, George, and (insert 2/3 of pack, bensley, and wooga) will be fun.
- Speaking of which, AJ Casey looked fine tonight. But even after just limited minutes, IMO Nwoko passed the eye test as the guy that emerges first off the bench moving forward as real competition gets underway.
- There are too many capable shooters on this team for the offense to have any prolonged dry spells. They’ll shoot their way into any game.
- When all is said and done, Omier should pull a Jimmy Graham. Best TE size, athleticism, hands, and physicality on campus. Not even Mario/Dawson/TVD could F that up.
- I take that back, they could.
- For a Monday night opening snoozer, crowed still looked pretty decent. Expecting a sneaky good atmosphere at the Watsco Friday night.
