List of coaches as bad as Manny Diaz

Carl Selmer was Miami's Worst.
At least the AD had the good sense to get rid rid of him in Year 2.
Not soon enough as Pete Elliott followed him out the door..

Larry Coker
Randy Shannon
Alfred Golden
Mark Richt

Manny is worse than all 4 of these....but it's a close race for second place and all 5 have helped tear this program down. It's pretty sickening everyone on this list was hired by our inept administration. All 4 received premature, undeserved extensions which means if win a couple meaningless games in a row.....we're in danger of that becoming 5 extensions.

NONE have gone on to be a head coach at another division 1 program after leaving here. That's a pretty damning sentence.

Richt stayed one year too long.

I don’t see how anyone could complain about his first two seasons and the fact that he got us the IPF.

He didn't hold us hostage on the buyout, which took a ton of character. Respect for that.

But give me a ******* break with the rest of that nonsense. Even in those first two years we lost games we shouldn't have lost. It may not have been to the degree we are losing them now, but that team he had was also more talented. The fact he thought it was a good idea to use a guy with Brad Kaaya's skill set in an RPO system says everything you need to know about how close to retirement Richt was upon his arrival here.

I mean, I see where you’re coming from on the national scale, but Arena won the MLS Cup multiple times with multiple teams. He can’t be as bad as what he did with USMNT. I would agree that his stint for the USMNT was terrible, but I don’t think he’s a bad manager.

I'm a pretty hardcore USMNT fan. I went to 5 different games during the last WC cycle. I was there for that game in Orlando right before the TnT disaster.

Arenas faceplanted....but you can't blame him for the HOME losses that the German saddled us with. Remember, Arenas took over mid-cycle. Klinsman is the one that got spanked by Mexico IN COLUMBUS . We NEVER lose in COLUMBUS....but the German found a way to do that. He also lost a crucial home game to Costa Rica. In WC qualifying the formula is simple, you CANNOT lose home games. That all happened BEFORE Arenas took over. he inherited a very small margin of error.

Miami's coaching situation has been ALOT worse since all of those 4 of those previous guys got ample time and faceplanted with a larger sample size.

Mork really gets an undeserved amount of credit for that ..... he made a sizable contribution for tax reasons, but the real major contributors and the driving force for the IPF were Jeff Soffer and his sister who dedicated it to their mom, Carol..... guess thats
why its named the "Carol Soffer IPF" and not the "mork richt IPF" ... the IPF was planned and would have gotten done without Mork being involved to any degree.

I was hoping the Central Michigan game was a fluke. It wasn’t. This is Manny. his teams can lose to any opponent no matter how pathetic. GA tech this year? FIU? Fireable.

Canes are now stuck with him.

Only way he gets fired is empty seats next year, coupled with poor performance. Hard Rock needs to be a ghost town. I'm talking tumble weeds and all.
