I know as Hurricane fans we set high standards for our football team. Unfortunately for the last 10 plus years we haven't been seeing our teams play real Miami Hurricane football. We've been through ups and downs with so much disappointments this last decade. But I can honestly say that I've never been more excited for a season in so long. Getting coach Richt was seriously a blessing from the football gods. This man is hungry to show the world that he can still coach and he can WIN the big time games and get over that national championship hump. I don't care what anybody says he will have more talent down here in South Florida than he has ever came across. And with the hiring of the assistant coach's like coach kool, diaz, brown, dugans and the rest of em will can finally get back into the big picture again. I know we haven't played yet but we haven't felt this way since the butch davis days.. there is a big culture change in the Gables. Oh yeaa and that d line we got is going to shock the world mark my words !! We are pretty deep with talent and full of savages. Them boys are ready to be let off that leash.. Let's ride !! ALL ABOUT THE U

I know exactly how you feel. I think the majority of us feel the same way. After a decade plus of putrid football and a clueless administration it would seem that the football gods finally decided to smile upon us. The potential has always been there with this program but Shalala wanted to part of it. You're right. It is a great time to be a Hurricane and the future looks very promising. I look forward to actually being able to enjoy watching the games. This season can't get here fast enough. An elite QB and an elite DL will take you far. This is the way it's supposed to feel.

Also I think it's a sense of entitlement but can we stop with this"sec mentality". Miami style of football was emulated by the sec..

I agree. Saying "SEC Football" at Miami denotes a lack of knowledge.
