Is there anyone here that still would feel comfortable with the following statement? It was a common mantra posters used to just write off any **** concern they had.

"In Mario I Trust"

I heard this quite a bit through the years and I was tired of it at some point in season one. Having said that, is anyone left who would blatantly state that message? Cool if so, but if not, can we please never hear those words uttered again?

Bro - step away from the ledge. We have been relevant for the the last two years like we've been once in the previous 20.

Would you rather have Mario or Coker, Radio, Golden with NoD, Richt w/his son as QB coach, or Manny.

For the first time in decades we are relevant and have a great foundation including support that has never been here (and wouldn't be here without Mario).

Everyone sucked tonight. Nobody is happy but name the last undefeated National Champion?

To make us a top 7-10 team? We are kind there right now, and I think on an upward trajectory and respectable NIL. Then yes.

Do I think he can win a ship? I don't know, maybe not.

I've seen Jeff Brohm do this to ALOT of good teams. ALOT.

It depends on what you trust Mario to do.

I trust Mario to lose at least two games a year he should win based on player talent. It’s happened every season at Oregon and at Miami, even year one here when he got his butt kicked by Middle Tennessee State.

All that alleged anger about a bad fourth quarter at FSU resulted in a lazy game against Louisville, after a bye week. The team was not motivated to play and beat down Louisville to prove the fourth quarter at FSU was a fluke and the real Miami was the team with a 28-3 lead in the third-quarter.

The team that played tonight was nowhere near the number two team in the country, let alone the best team in the country. I know it’s great to beat Notre Dame, Florida and Florida State in the same season. Notre Dame was a good win, and I would hate to play them again. Florida and Florida State are bad teams. USF is a pretty good G5 team, so what?

The true ceiling for this years Miami team is probably ranked 12 to 15th. Eight and three with additional losses at SMU and at Pittsburgh to end the season with a whimper. The bowl game will be meaningless because Bain, Mesidor, CiCi and anyone going to the NFL will opt out.

We could beat Stanford 56-0 next Saturday and it would be mean nothing because Stanford is a bad team.

I hate to sound like a reactionary downer, but this is just the way I see it right now.

I can’t even say I trust him on OL anymore. Not the way we’ve run it and the lack of explosiveness / diversity in the run game (also on Dawson imo, but this is Mario’s second OC).

He’ll raise the floor of this program considerably. The ceiling? Well…I think you guys are starting to realize what many of us feared.

Listen, respect, but there's another statement that bugs the ever living **** out of me.

We wouldn't have the support we currently have without Saint Cristobal at the helm. There is no way to validate this since paying players above the board is new and wasn't an option before.

As for the prior COACHES, I didn't like any of them with possibly one exception. I thought Richt would work like never before with a chance to ride into the sunset at his Alma mater. Aside from his admirable hiring of his son, I'm okay with how it went with him and who knows what would've happened if not for his declining health.

Nope, wouldn't have hired Shannon off of a failed staff. Nope, wouldn't have stolen the Temple coach. Yup, I'm passing on a first time coach in Manny. I would've stayed away from Mario too, but whatever.

Anyhow, did you answer my question? Also, I'm far from ledge, in fact there's not a ledge in sight. It's a game, one I have no control over, the world keeps spinning and as I said early on in Mario's tenure, most will be happy for a good run every few years and an ACC Championship once or twice a decade. Mario would be lucky to get that.

Yeah I'm guilty

It's all good man.

When people would bring up the same concerns we've seen for a long time, they'd utter the simple phrase or just dismiss the concerns.

Oddly enough, my opinion hasn't changed on Mario. That's okay too, it is what it is.

The biggest winner with him at the helm is Butch Davis since when we'd talk about our worst game day coach, he was the GOAT. He's probably like, how do you like me now.

I love Mario and want nothing more than for him to succeed, but how da he'll can you call a game like this, and make no mistake Mario is the alpha he signs off on everything, I'm just hurt after this one.

Nobody with more than 2 brain cells trusts Mario. The people who watch football and aren’t blinded by orange and green shades have been saying let’s see what this team does the rest of the year, every week. “Let’s see what happens in November” has been said plenty of times. Bc let’s face it, we all knew this was coming.

Gotta hit the sack, but I'll say I feel like we've got a lot of players on this team. I'm not even ready to throw some cement shoes on Beck while heading out to see.

History suggests we don't have the brains to figure out what the problems are, address them, and then get the most out of them that we can. We still see too much of the same.

Having said that, how many times can you see history repeat itself? I hope this is a wake up call for all, in particular the staff. Literally get back to the drawing board, don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone, prepare differently, motivate differently, rip some pages out of the playbook and take a chance on some new ones.

That's what you're supposed to do after a loss. Cristobal at the half, just do better. Heed your own advice, you've got the talent, adjust, and make it work. Season isn't dead, but we'll be wondering how and why we were out coached once again if things aren't modified. This isn't the time to drill down on the same old things, that's what we do every year.

The sun will rise tomorrow and I hope you all have a glorious day.
