It would've probably been bad business to fire golden then say HEY WE'RE GOING TO ADIDAS. I think things happens after NSD. keep the hype train with the adidas to keep kids excited then cut somebody

The only bad business move was retaining Golden for an unearned fifth season. It's a slap in the face to this program, the players, future recruits, and a fan base that's desperate to win while witnessing an administration that's perfectly content with mediocrity/irrelevance.

If they cut somebody not named Golden after NSD, then it doesn't change a thing. Cut the head off the snake rather than reshuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.
