My question is then why didn't they fire him LY? If they can afford to fire him mid-season, where does that money magically come from?
I get that a poor product costs you revenue, but it still begs the question if you can suddenly afford to fire him mid-season why did you wait?

I note that on occasion, some spectacular quarterback will lead to a championship - and when he's gone - things start to degrade.

I never saw this coming - we have gotten back to very productive QB's and other very key personnel - and my fear of "up the middle" practices - are in my rear view mirror.

My understanding is Norvell’s buy-out is $51 million or something wild like that and then drops to like $19 million come January 1 so FSU will likely keep him through the season regardless of how bad it gets.
