This team is a top 20 team. We are good. Not great.

We have good players. Several very good players. We have 2 or 3 excellent players. Game changers? Not sure

Defense played well. Offense played decent.

We are 4-1. We beat a desperate solid team
By double digits.
There are a half dozen college teams at a
Different level.

Our goal is Clemson again. We do that, we get more dogs.

Context matters though. They had a backup QB playing at our track. That’s a beat down recipe. Did we even cover?

We have a ways to go offensively and defensively before we can play with the likes of Clemson, UGA, Bama, etc. ****, I don't even think we will beat NC the way we played today. Lashlee runs a very vanilla offense that teams have figured out. King is also thinking too much. He's not taking off like he did the first 3 games and his passing has been horrible on deep throws. Defense is too undisciplined leaving players wide open in zone all the time. It has to be a scheme issue because this happened all last year as well. NC and VT will take advantage of it. McCloud and Jennings need to be coming off the bench period. Brooks, Flagg, and Frierson should be the starters. Carter needs to come off the bench as well. This is a boom or bust offense and that will not win you an ACC championship or even make it to the championship.

Agree, but we also have some good young players not getting enough burn. Game 6 next week and we should be seeing a lot more of them and less of the “experienced “ less talented guys.
 
outside of NC (home game) we do not ace any world beaters. trip to Blacksburg is always tough but if we show up ready bot play
we can run the table 3 team so far Clemson, UGA & Bama seem several cuts above competition. think OSU will be the 4th but everyone at this point just seems ok...... UVA will be challenge as Mendenhall is several notches above Young CMD

Pitt's D is very very solid and our coaches were very aware, almost too aware as our offensive game plan seemed passive and conservative

Overall, our D showed up and won us that game. It's a good W and one we easily lose in the past

Gotta just chalk it up to W and keep getting better and beating teams we should.
