Jim Leavitt is no longer with Florida State.

The assistant coach -- who joined the staff as an analyst while the season was ongoing and was promoted to a full-time assistant after Willie Taggart was fired last month -- is not with the program, Noles247’s Josh Newberg confirmed.

Noles247 also reached out to FSU for confirmation, and FSU confirmed that Leavitt resigned. The Athletic was the first to report that Leavitt left the program.

One things for certain, coach diaz is going to have to make some decisions that he probably didnt think he'd have to make this quick, for instance, it was well known that coach richt was loyal to the staffs he put together, coach diaz doesnt have that type of time, lol. If he allows blake baker to be here next year, talking about rolling the dice, good luck with that. The defense didnt play with a purpose this year or an identity either as much as the offense, to much stale play all around, we'll see what happens in the not to distant future!

Very true, but it's not 2007 anymore. The past decade he's ran a 3-4.
