In their first seasons at Miami and UNC after Paul Davis left, why were they able to take Paul Davis' players and have more success than him?

Over their entire tenure at Miami and UNC, why did they win more than Paul Davis?

What is it that Coker had/Fedora has that Paul Davis was lacking?

Comparing Coker/Fedora to Butch. Butch took over two programs in disarray. Coker/Fedora took over two programs loaded with what he built.

Look we get it if you didn't want Butch back, but trying to paint him as a scrub coach isn't fair

Actually Fedora didn't start doing good till he cycled out a bunch of butch recruits.

He's referring to the years Fedora had Butch's players. No telling what Butch does in his 4th year at UNC without the suspensions. It's all speculative. It's fair to give a coach until year four taking over a team that hadn't had a winning season in 6 years. His 4th year at UNC was a mess do to player suspensions.

He could have won 3 championships if he stayed at Miami, or gone on to big things @UNC if his 2010 season wasn't ruined and kept his job after. It's hard to tell given his situations

These Butch Davis wars on CIS have gone from being hilarious & entertaining, to just dumb & annoying...
 
Fedora and David aren't even in the same stratosphere as coaches. Fedora won 11 games while trying to dig out of the filthy NCAA mess that David left behind. David couldn't even win more than he lost in the ACC.

David's players were suspended because they were ineligible to play. Had they not cheated to procure and keep those players around they never would have been at UNC in the first place. Live by the dirty sword. Die by the dirty sword.

That's like a bank robber complaining about what he would have done with the money he robbed if the cops hadn't caught him and taken the money back.

If he didn't make terrible career choices maybe he wouldn't be a corch who never won. Guess we'll never know.

I at least could have understood a thread like this being created 12 months ago when people were discussing the possibility of Butch becoming Miami coach.

But what's the point of this subject now?
