I’m from there and went to HS there (9th grade at least) and I’m the biggest Miami hurricane fan ever lol. Lots of Canes up there. And for the “country” crowd it’s basically Tallahassee. We’re talking about a 15-20 minute drive.

LOL, and I thought I might be the only here who knew about Havana, FL way before I'd even heard of the Havana south of Miami.

And, isn't it actually pronounced Hay-vana? I've been in Tally for over 30 years and was confused with the pronunciation when I first moved here.

Isn't that how they pronounce it everywhere?

BTW, there's a town in Alabama named Cuba — and it's pronounced KOO-buh

Extremely. Gadsden County has some of the thickest dialect I've ever heard. It's on lexical par with Belle Glade.
