KISS Principle for AD

This is probably a dumb question but I was just thinking about someone like Dan Morgan, assistant GM for the Panthers now. Wonder if he'd be interested in a role like this? He seems like an NFL guy now though.

Wait now you guys DON'T want the guy who hired Kiffin?
I don’t know that I even want Kiffin lol. Honestly not sure. Remember he was a punch line on this board a few years back.

Edit:
Also likely we end up on probation in 5 years if we hire Kiffin.

Morgan is an NFL guy.

Alonzo took heat in Cleveland because he favored UM grads.

So were half the other candidates. And all the ones mentioned last time are punchlines now

Hire an actual AD. With experience. There is absolutely no need to bring in someone that has never run an athletic program. I don't care about NFL experience. I don't care about your connections to Miami. I don't care about your experience as a football coach.

Please just bring some boring ******* that 99% of football fans have never heard of. Force us to look up the guys name, read his resume, and think daaaaaaamn this dude knows what he's doing.

Somebody like Rick Hart (SMU AD), Doug Gillin (App State AD), and/or Mack Rhoades (Baylor AD). Qualified. Component. Boring. Solid.
Thanks for your common sense. This romance with former players as administrators of athletic departments is crazy ****. Look at USC. Their previuos 3 ADs were all USC football stars (Mike Garrett, Pat Haden, Lynn Swann) …..utter failures as ADs.

No thanks.

He worked his way up from Scout to Assistant GM.

Don't see how that qualifies him to be an AD - he's very much a football / film watching guy.
