Miami's McDermott Named to PFF?s Team of the Week
Miami junior offensive guard Kc McDermott's play against Florida Atlantic has earned him some national recognition.
McDermott was named to Pro Football Focus' Team of the Week on Wednesday after the Hurricanes managed to produced a pair of 100-yard rushers against the Owls in Mark Walton and Joe Yearby.
Per the analytics website: McDermott was a force in the running game as he created good movement at the point of attack while not surrendering a pressure on his 32 attempts.
McDermott makes a key block, turning his defender which lead to a TD.
McDermott played 65 of the team's 71 offensive snaps in the 38-10 win. One of the highlights of his night, as seen in the video above, came in the second quarter when his block helped key Miami's first touchdown of the game. McDermott doubles teams FAU defensive tackle William Davis and then is able to turn him to the side in order to open a hole for Walton.
