DP is gone.

And with a kid on the way I can't blame him. He's not growing 2-3 inches in the off-season it's time for him to make his money.

Young and Owens are too potential beasts.

DP may be off to the league, but I haven't seen a mock draft with him in the top 2 rounds yet.

I know NFL scouts may view him different than mocks, but what I he is a mid 3rd rounder,does he still leave?

He is not going in the 1st because of his height and him not being a pass rusher. He would be 2nd rounder next as well.

Generally true. The past 6-7 years, the LBs taken in the first round fit into one of 3 categories:

- great at rushing the passer (english, ogletree, et al)
- are all over 6-2
- are tackling machines (130+)

DP doesn't fit into any of those categories. I can see him maybe sneaking into the 2nd round next year, but he's a 2nd-4th rounder now and next year.
