“One thing we’ve kind of figured out is sometimes when I miss I’m just a little off balance,” Rosier said. “That’s the biggest thing. … the really good ball I had, the one across to Jeff (Thomas), [Jon Richt] was like `Look at your balance, how your feet are set, how your body is positioned to throw.’

“Coach said it’s up to me to fix myself and if I work on it my percentage will go up.”

Is there an accuracy percentage target in games?

“The goal is 65 percent or better,” Rosier said.

Well Rosie is so programmed to fall into his tendencies that he is like a broken record... coach him up all you want in controlled practices but when bullets are flying he falls back everytime

Richt and company have been around enough to see this and know this and pull the plug

65 percent ? Pfft, might as well say the goal is 100 % lol.

Neither is happening.

that's why i think coach said it's up to him to fix himself. Maybe we're reading too much into it, but seems like they've seen Rosier hit his ceiling

Yeah...none of those mechanics are really gonna change at this point. He might get it right once in a while (like the referenced throw), but not consistently.

He couldn't get to 65% if he threw bubble screens to receivers in practice with no defense.

So now he's going to fix his balance issues now?

Perry needs to step it up. It's his fault. Richt will always go with experience if both qbs are equal.

I'm no QB guru, but isn't it the job of the QBC to improve the QB's mechanics and not just leave it up to the player to fix it himself or figure it out on his own?

Not buying it. There's plenty of film where his feet are set and he still can't hit his target.

Yep. I actually think his footwork improved in the off-season. I could see it in the first 2 games. He's simply not transferring his weight properly when throwing. When your weight is in your heels, you're naturally going to try and make up for that with your arm (it's an unconscious thing).

And that leads to high throws. I'm certain Richt goes over this - but it just ain't getting through to the kid.

I don't really blame the coaches for not being able to turn a ****ty QB into a good one. I do blame them for not having someone else ready by now.

65%! hahahahahaha oh crap im gonna **** myself! funny crap! maybe 50% and it will involve a lot praying!

"Sometimes the feet are set & sometimes there not.."

Excuses and pipe dreams. Rosier has never been and never will be a good QB.

The staff might as well have told him, "See what can happen when you get **** lucky?" Really, that's all a good pass is from him. Luck.

In that quote Rosier literally says that the coach is telling him what to do, but Rosier just isn’t doing it. Rosier isn’t putting in extra work on his mechanics. Or isn’t getting it.
