Just an observation from last night

Guarantee you blades wouldn't *** up his twitch stream or whatever video game cam platform he is playing on. Kid doesnt love football.

One thing i'm looking forward is to a roster that loves football. I know Mario places a high value on this trait.

The hate for Blades pre heart issue, was dumb. He was a good player and the best corner on the roster.

If you want to hate him now, go for it. He’s been bad and doesn’t look like he cares.

I’m sure buddy feels he got done dirty by the staph and checked out! He was one of the better corners in the nation at some point and the Covid year ***ked him up physically and he fought hard to get back into shape after almost losing his life. He should be at corner still but they move him to safety where he has never really played. Had he stayed at corner he may have been a lockdown corner again. Ivey should have been moved to safety instead. But he pulled a hoodini on yet ANOTHER staph 🤣! Blades sucks at safety no doubt but he was a pretty good corner. As a former player, I see it from the players point of view. You’re asked to do something that you don’t know how to do and you spend time learning it trying to be a team player and it doesn’t work. Your chances of getting drafted are now zero. And it’s mostly the fault of the coaches and a lot of bad luck. They really control the player’s futures. Excuse Me Reaction GIF by One Chicago

How about when TVD got hurt and took off the field by medical staff and Jacurri went out with the offense and was lined up ready to take the snap. Camera switch d to Jake who was scrambling around trying to find his helmet as they play went on. These kids be zoned out. Rather be anywhere than at the game. Think that why Jacurri took majority of the snaps and will more than likely start the next game

I don’t know if it was coaches or players but let me tell you what I saw that was so awful.

J. Williams come out of the game nicked up right after the first PI. Blades runs in and the CB tells him the coverage. (Can’t remember the CB and I’m sure the coaches sent in the signs as well) Blades blows the coverage and looks at the CB confused after the TD. The CB frantically shows him the hand signs for what coverage it was supposed to be.

After the TD Blades goes and sits on the bench. He is on every kick off team, has been all year. FSU starts to kick off and Blades is still sitting on the bench never even thinks about getting out there. Then as the ball is kicked he runs onto the field putting on his helmet.

I have always loved Blades and his family but this is what the coaches are working with or this is lack of coaching Monday-Friday.
I mean the coverage flip for blades is like freshmen year of high school level call. Motion oppo that saftey ricks downy rock to deep middle it’s not hard. I’ve been critical of Ivey but he told blades with the hand sign and he still blew it

He ******* sucks. So sick of him and his constant **** ups.
Dude dealt with myocarditis from COVID, not to mention being switched from his natural position of CB to S, both of which likely severely degraded his chances at playing in the NFL yet he have message board tough guys talking sh*t about players, knowing they wouldnt say anything to their face. GTFOH!

Ivey strengths vs his weaknesses doesn't mesh well with Safety. We need to see more Balom or safeties that are going to play the assignment. Never seen so many coverage busts from a safety room. Either everyone is trying to be Ed Reed or Addae/Steele doesn't work well together.

Lol. I remember when people said Chad wouldn't get drafted cuz he cared more about music than football. Then Manny Diaz came in and ran a scheme that benefited his strengths as opposed to Al Golden and suddenly his play improves as well. ****, I remember how it's like our whole DT room went from "Can he play DT?" to "why didn't they look like this under Golden?". Not only should Blades not be at safety full-time, but the coaches have done a bad job at playing to his strengths. He's much better in man, as long as they teach him how to stop getting beat inside unlike the last coaches who failed to teach ANY CB how to stop a slant.

Do you have a recent cb that was drafted 5th round or lower you would compare him to?

That's a good question. At this absolute best, Blades might be a Great Value version of Coby Bryant from Cincinnati.

2nd corner, played the field a lot, opportunistic, good hands, not the fastest but closes well on the ball. Might be the best comp.
