Miami was #2 in the country, looking ahead to a Pitt game to finish what we all assumed would be an undefeated regular season and an ACC showdown with Clemson. More than that, Miami was THE hot program. 'the U" was back and it was glorious.

And then,... it all fell apart like a Bernie Madoff ponzi scheme(although his run was a lot longer, admittedly)

It was all a dream, we used to read Word Up! Magazine

Fast forward a year later and honestly, as someone who has followed this program religiously as a subway alum(from Los Angeles) who has developed friendships with some of you guys on here, former players and others associated with the program and been through the highs and lows(which I'm good with, that's part of being a fan), I can honestly say, I've never been this down on the program or this disheartened.

Yeah, this is worse than 97. Anyone with any intelligence knew what Paul Hilton Davis was dealing with those early years. But what's Richt's excuse? I'm being dead serious, while he's not the worse coach I've seen at Miami, this single season in 2018 is the worst job of managing and coaching a program I have ever seen at UM. And it's not even close

Fellas, as I've told you before, welcome to 'Richtbation' a form of 'the death penalty' which has nothing to do with the NCAA. Till he's gone, UM is U Mediocre. This guy is more shot than Muhammad Ali in the Bahamas vs Trevor Berbick. It is what it is. And I'm not sure shuttling in a few new coaches and coordinators will really be anything more than shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic after the iceberg. We've seen this song and dance with Coker prior to the 2006 season(his last at Coral Gables, BTW)

As for Jeff Thomas, if any of you watched the documentary on his high school('89 Blocks') you knew he might be an issue. I was told by a good source he was thinking about transferring after last season. So this shouldn't be all that stunning to anyone. But you know what, they should've known what they were getting into and quite frankly, I'm good with Thomas. Guy could flat out ball, he's one of the very few reasons I still looked forward to Miami games this season(yeah, I'm a *********). I don't necessarily condone his attitude but I know this, any of us in his Adidas would've been frustrated to playing in this garbage system. I will never hold any ill will towards this young man, I'll be looking forward to seeing him at the next level. This program and Richt could've helped him grow up, instead, they let this kid become a problem and ran him out.

And yeah, he's not the only one contemplating getting outta here. This has been festering for awhile I've been told. This will be a VERY interesting off-season.

Folks, we are in the abyss.

Anyways, enjoy your Thanksgiving...

And oh.... Beat Pitt!!

83, just a question, if you are a season ticket holder, are you renewing for next season?

Personally, Im not planning to go to any more games till I see some real, significant changes. The Malice in Dallas vs LSU was enough for me...

Have a 4 game losing streak against teams you should win by 2 or more TDs with a stubborn HC who is pretending to relive his late 30s as OC here will do that

All the excitement is gone

the chain excitement is gone

We have lost all momentum on the field, off the field and in the crooting game

K9,

I am not a season ticket holder, I live in PA. But I am taking a 3 day trip to Miami, and I love the canes too much to not go to this game in person. I feel the worst for the kids. They and us fans deserve better.

I am a HC member though and have been for years. Haven't yet decided on that front.

Sorry, but if you’re attending games and buying apparel right now you’re part of the problem. Do us real fans a favor and find a new team to cheer for.

Yeah, I mean I've talked about this a couple of months ago, right now what many fans will experience is the 'Mark Richt Economic Stimulus Package', extra discretionary income that will be available to them from doing just as you stated - staying away

Dwreck,, if this prehistoRicht offense was able to just score 28 points a game(which by todays' standards isn't that much) this team is 10-1 and in the mix for a lot of things.

Just thinking about that for a second

You know our defense has...

It's over for Rick. I'd like to blame it on an external force like the NCAA, but this is all Rick's mess.

Starts with the qb. Obvious that Rosier not championship caliber after last season, but better qbs not developed or recruited? Why? Rick hired his unqualified son for the most important position. Now there is a possibility we go into next season with 1 qb.

OL has struggled Rick's entire tenure. Either change coaches or change system. He did neither. Same for ST.

A CEO type coach might have been able to take a step back and see this unfolding. Rick wanted to spend his time working on terrible game plans and watching film.

Rick made his bed.

Hey, I hear ya, and the weather is very enticing if you're in PA. I get it. I love going to Miami for a few days, I get it

At least w golden, we knew he’d be fired sooner or later. Richt May very well be here for a decade, even with annual 4 game losing streaks.

It’s frustrating because the fixes are pretty clear to see, but this ******* prolly won’t lift a
Finger.

Richt didn’t work on terrible game plans. He didn’t work on any game plans, actually.

Hey, it's a nice retirement annuity and here's the other thing - with his son around, Im not sure he really wants to make significant changes if that means displacing him and depriving him of his nice salary

K9,

You are 100% right on with respect to how I feel as well about the state of the program compared to 97. I felt that we would come back then since the problems were related to Probation and not coaching related. Now, no excuse. It is strictly coaching incompetence and stubborness with Richt and co.

Here's hoping sooner than later, UM gets things turned around one way or another.

BTW, you are an excellent poster, very informed and knowledgable alum/fan of the program. Keep it up!

K9 I feel man the question I have is how much worst does it get where is rock bottom under this staff. At least with golden we hit rock bottom end of the third year/ start of the fourth but right now I have a feeling this is going to get worse.

We are the only fan base that makes comments like this.

The board of trustees has members apparently ****ed right now. Telling people not to use the tickets they probably already paid for isn't making any difference.

Well, when do we play Clemson again?

Hey, it worked once!!
