I stayed in Everett for a while. .. though it's really nothing to do in the area.... Seattle Lynnwood Olympia Snohomish Portland (oregon)they have some slept on athletes. .. The weather there could be a downer. I got the impression they like basketball and baseball way more than football

Actually, it was Lloyd Carr who lost to App State, not Rich Rod.

But beyond that, your post might be a valid comparison IF Leach was a good coach and had ever had as much success as Rich Rod and Snyder.

Hey Mark Richt isn't a bad thought, but after he's been at UGA for so long would he leave? and could we pay him competitively? He'd be an interesting option.

He might not have a choice on leaving UGA...their getting tired of him losing when expected to when big(Bama & Tenn)...

I honestly think he has brought UGA to it's ceiling and elevated it a little bit. That is why I think he might consider a Miami offer, just because there ceiling is higher than UGA's.

That was Golden's salary from 2 years ago, more or less. His contract begins Feb 1 every year and ends Jan 31, but UM's fiscal year begins June 1 and ends May 31. $2.5 mil and change was Golden's salary for the fiscal year that ended May 31, 2014. UM is currently in the fiscal year that will end May 31, 2016. Golden will probably make much closer to $3 million that $2.5 during this fiscal year.

Leach never had the talent those guys had. Danny Amendola, Wes Welker, Michael Crabtree Three different receivers all playing in different superbowls because of Leach.

The dude has always had to rebuild stuff from scratch with a bunch of nobodies. Look at his coaching tree.
Art Briles, Sonny Dykes, Dana Holgerson, the TCU offensive coordinator, etc... All the guys who are putting up monster numbers are running his stuff. You know what Bill Snyder gave us? That piece of crap Hocutt who hired Golden.

I checked out Leach's roster today. He has two kids from Florida starting as freshmen up in BFE that are scoring touchdowns for him. How he got kids to go there I have no idea, one from Bell Glade, and one from St. Petersburgh starting as true freshmen scoring touchdowns against Oregon beating them at Autzen in Phil Knight's house...

And here we are trying to figure out how we are going to beat Duke to win the coastal in the heart of the best recruiting in the country...talking about players weights and wefense and #hashtag bs.

All I'm saying is that Leach does more with less....while we do less with more... and I'm sick of it.

Matt Campbell - Toledo's HC - Guy is pretty good he's young. He beat Arkansas and is winning consistently. He's an interesting guy, but I'm unsure if it's just because he's in the MAC, Pretty reluctant against bringing in another MAC guy...F U ...Golden...you are even ruining the opinions of others that have nothing to do with your fat ***.

Mike Leach - Just beat Oregon at home. Kinda struggled at Wazzu, but then again Wazzu is total crap and he took them to a bowl game in just his second year, and this year looks to actually be putting together a competitive team. He's known for offense, but we always need a defense. If he were to bring Leavitt from Colorado I would be down with Leach/Leavitt for us. Both know how to win with handicapped facilities. We've got the top talent. I'd let them tear it up.

Chip Kelly - Not going to happen honestly. We can't afford him. He's too much money, and honestly we are too cluster f*ck of an admin for him to do it. This isn't Phil Knight land down here in south beach. This is...you don't get a stadium...we might pay for food...We'll be keeping that Adidas money for Shalala lipo. I see him going to Maryland where the other Phil Knight / Under Armor guy is running the show/payroll.

DCs? Geoff Collins (Florida) / Pruitt (Georgia) - Both are solid coaches that have won everywhere they have been. Collins was at UCF/FIU when they were actually good. I honestly think he was way more of the reason FIU was good than Cristobal. He would be an interesting hire, but also kind of a gamble as he doesn't have HC experience. Pruitt same deal. Good assistant...would he be a good HC? who the **** knows.

Just some names to think about if we can't get Butch. I don't know why we wouldn't be able to...other than the administration would be afraid the NCAA would be lurking around..I will say this. If we do hire Butch and he doesn't work out we had better be prepared for that. It could get incredibly ugly when the hero we built up in our heads and the real life man don't turn out to be the same person...15 years later.
