Tarpon Springs, FL - East Lake HS's 4-star 2016 OG Julian Santos (6’4", 285lbs) lists Miami in his top 10 notable offers. He is being recruited by Larry Scott and Paul Williams (which is odd), but Scott has been able to pull some gems out of the Bay area for Miami so it will be interesting to see if can deliver again for the Canes by landing Santos.

The nations 14th best Guard has 23 D1 offers, the second most in Pinellas County. The most notable from Miami, Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee, UNC, Kentucky, OLe Miss, Mizzo, Duke, and PSU.

Santos possesses a 4.9 forty, fluid hips, a quick burst off the line, sheer power and nimble feet. He’s excellent on run blocking and can get to 2nd level blocks with ease. He’s very athletic for a lineman his size and has the frame to carry more weight once he gets in a FBS S&C program but not lose his quickness. He creates good leverage and uses solid technique once he engages with defenders.

Santos was named second team All-State (AP) for 2014. He was a state runner-up last year in Wrestling for the heavyweight division. Santos can squat 520lbs, shot put 41 feet and hurl a discus 97 feet which are very good as a whole numbers not great.

Santos is certainly a powerful specimen who is not your ordinary Olinemen.

Good friend of mines son, supposedly he's leaning towards UNC or Duke.

**** why no love for the home team and being coached by the legendary Art Kehoe! UNC is about to get hammered by NCAA and Duke well it is Duke so I can't fault a young man for wanting a Top 10 education.

Go Canes

Bright, well-spoken young man. Are the Canes seriously recruiting him? How high is he on their board? Thanks for posting this great info.
