Saw this and saw Canes at +7000 to make CFP. Checked online and saw DraftKings and BetMGM have Canes at +8000 (+8000 means if you bet $100 you win $8,000 if they make CFP).

I’m not a gambler, but I bet a couple hundred on the Canes and have a few friends who came in with $50 each.

I’m drunk on September Koolaid 😳.

LFG Canes!

Edit: I was wrong odds are to win the chip not make CFP. Cancelled the bet lol. Love the canes but not sure about winning a chip this year

This means next to nothing considering it's October 3rd, but if the season ended today, Miami would be in the playoffs.

So just keep winning and see what happens. 80/1 is a fine number to throw a dart at. I'll tell you what, if we beat UNC and Clemson, that number is going to be about a third of what it is today. And the way I see it right now, Miami MIGHT be a 2 point dog at UNC and will be favored against Clemson at home. Hmm.

Low chance but I didn’t think Heat would make the finals or Canes would make Final 4 and I think we’re being underestimated because of the mess from last year.

Would take a lot of balls bouncing our way but we’re overdue for a lucky bounce year IMO and I didn’t bet more than I can afford to lose so it’s fun to try it out this year

There’s an avenue for it. But it’s so hard to make it through a season undefeated. Cause make no mistake we’d have to be undefeated.

Totally disagree.

Lose close to FSU in Tallahassee to finish the year 11-1 and beat them in a rematch in Charlotte to win the ACC, Miami is making the playoffs at 12-1 and a P5 champion with their only loss to a 12-1 FSU team, on the road.

We're obviously getting hypothetical here but I'm just saying that Miami doesn't need to be undefeated to make it.

What if A&M wins the SEC? The Bear tweeted yesterday he bet them at something like +800 or less, I can't remember. What if Miami (OH) wins the MAC? They're 4-1. UNC is undefeated, what if they win 10 games? We can have the resume to get there with 1 loss.

Too early to say whether one loss would get us in or not imo, but if FSU finished 12-1 and we finished 12-1 with an ACC chip and a close loss against them in the regular season I think we get in for sure. They’ll be in the top 5 all year so we wouldn’t be too punished for the loss and we’d be a conference champion without a bad loss.

B1G has penn State, Michigan, and OSU but only one will win the conference and the others will have at least one loss since they play each other. SEC appears to be down this year and we beat TAMU. PAC teams will have to lose too

It’s more likely that we lose more than one game and I lose the money though lol

We can think of MANY messy *** scenarios

What if Bama wins out including beating an unbeaten #1 UGA in the SEC Title game?

What if UGA, Texas, Michigan, Washington and UM or FSU go undefeated, who gets in?

These things USUALLY always work itself out until it doesn’t and then fans never forget it (UM 2000)

It most likely will be a battle of several 1 loss teams trying to get one or even two spots

We all see how mediocre the rest of CFB is but my god. Its crazy that not even 12 months after 5-7 we are plotting out the playoffs instead of the ACCCG. That koolaid laced fellas.

You ain’t lying but I don’t think it’s an insane conversation. Miami has legitimately been one of the best teams in the country thus far. Full stop. There’s obviously a LONG way to go, but all we can go off is what we know to this point. And this team has shown very little weakness to this point.

I gotta see this DL and secondary vs a couple P5 teams before I can get there. I get it we have hope for the first time in too long but we are setting this board up for a major crash if we have an F game or get exposed. We don't have the depth to start pencilling in October and November wins yet. Even the most talented teams get into dogfights or drop games they shouldn't. Yes Clemson looks like ****. Yes FSU is overrated. Yes UNC is mostly a QB driven team. But also, more times than not those teams figure it all out when they play Miami. Mid October will be a fair time to start forecasting.

If we close out unbeaten we will have beaten ranked fspoo tamu and unc. Clemson also could finish ranked. Loserville could finish ranked. And then the ACC title game against a ranked team. Would be a good resume. So maybe we have room to lose one of those and win the conference title and still make it in

Facts I need to see the DL and secondary consistently vs acc teams. Even if they do well I still think if I was on the other side thats what I would attack. I think we going to see Bain eat during the acc schedule

Sacks are how you protect secondary. We can't be relying on Couch as our only pass rusher.
