I mean..I think people will be surprised how many analysts pick us for the upset. Not saying it will happen..but I dont think national media are fully convinced in UNC. They know this is "technically" an undefeated UM team. And they have seen what we are capable of. (TAMU game)

It’s a 3.5 point spread which means the power rankings have these essentially as equal teams on a neutral field. Wouldn’t be much of an upset. A&M was a much bigger upset from an odds perspective.

we could be a popular upset pick. narrative will be that loss hurt...they worked extra hard and hard a great week of practice etc etc.

We havent beat these guys in what..5 years? Beating them under the current circumstances should be considered an upset in any UM fans eyes. But I get your point about the Vegas line.

I mean we 'won' last week for all intents and purposes. He's looking at the matchup objectively and taking the flukey component out of the GT game. We obviously have a different perspective given the past 20 years and watching the same movie over and over again, but we'd probably all be picking us to win this week if everything hadn't all gone to s*it.

There is no room for objectivity here. All we want is raw and unfettered self pity, fear, and anger.

most of the games outside of that beat down they gave us a few years ago the games have been pretty close

agreed.

think about it this way: Our defense played lights out with with exception of 2 plays at the end. they basically put their heels into GT's ******* the entire game, and kept stomping.

on offense, we played the worst game of the season, but even with that:

TVD still manages to throw for 66% completion rate, we overcome 3 picks (only 1 was TVD's fault), we outplay them by every measure, and we control the LOS and have the best 4 minute drill we've seen in 3 years.

lousy game, but we bring our D+ effort on offense and still "won."

that's what he's seeing. is he right? ask me at 11 p.m. on Saturday.
