There is just one kicker in the portal, Joe Tacopina.

Miami looked at him as did Saban:
Tacopina, 18, is a senior at Chesire Academy in Connecticut, and despite not playing football prior to his junior year, he was being scouted by top football schools like Alabama and Miami, and received offers to, among others, Nebraska and Temple, where Tacopina will join the Owls as a preferred walk-on.

Sad times when Cane fans are worried about kickers and punters instead of a more productive offense
Every facet needs to be addressed, last year it was punting and this year field goals. Once a kicker is a head case it is doubtful they will turn it around.

What's the downside? He misses important kicks?

And that would be different, how?

Former soccer player, I played soccer with GT field goal kicker when I was in high school, crazy how he is now booming kicks.

I rather hire someone who's going to Kick this staff to the curb if we don't beat Pitt or FSU

Maybe if we had a offense we wouldn't worry about it. Bama hasn't had a kicker in 10yrs but you wouldn't know it
