Joe Burrow mic'd up: talks what he sees on the field vs Bills

Love this stuff. As fans, especially fans like me with limited x & o knowledge , to hear what the QB sees and how he processes it is wild. I know this is what the Canes are missing right now, even in a lesser degree. Burrow is a known film junkie.....

I wrote about this in another thread. It is very, very hard to be great without out working your opponents. And this is true in sports as it is in life.

I made a decision early in my legal career that no attorney would ever be more prepared than me going into a trial. This meant I literally wrote out every question of my direct and cross examinations, and scripted my Opening and Closing statements. Of course I had to be able to go off script when the circumstances dictate, but being over prepared and more prepared than my opponent gave my a distinct advantage. I recommend the same to every young attorney; some take the advice and some look at me like I am an alien.

I asked in another thread how much our players loves football, and whether they eat, sleep and breath football. I still believe this is the only method to achieve maximum success. Sure there maybe some freak athletes who get away with less, but 99.9% will not. Mario knows this and is looking for that same attitude. Obviously the results are still in doubt.

Reminds me of Kobe getting in the gym earlier than anyone. Showering up when others were showing up. And not posting on social media about it.

Tell me more about this, "not posting on social media about it" as this is a foreign concept that goes against the very fabric of today's societal norms.

Burrow had the rep for spending literally the entire day in the film room during his last season at LSU. He was a grad student and could do that. I'm sure as a pro, he does everything but sleep there. He's just a football junkie with an unreal desire to win.

I always love the Michael Irvin story.
When Emmitt came to the Cowboys, he noticed that Irvin was running before practice so he asked to join. So on the day Emmitt showed up to work out with Irvin before the rest of the team, Irvin showed up even earlier to work out before Emmitt arrived.

Dedication but also a desire to be better than everyone, including his own teammate who always wanted to be great.
