Just got back from Paris in a 24 hour ordeal of flight delays. Finally, after just a few hours sleep, I get to come on here to read about the Canes. It appears that many things have been happening in the world of college athletics since NIL got going. From my old man perspective I'm brought back to one simple truth. You can buy many things......but you can't buy HEART!

My wife and I took a river cruise. Paris is a wonderful city. Being at the cemetery in Normandy was something I'll never forget. As a vet it really had an effect on me. When you are there you are officially on land belonging to the USA. It is the most beautiful cemetery I've ever seen.

100%

The Beaches of Ouistreham, Arromanches, Saint Mere, and cliff of Ponte Du Hoc, especially at low tide as it was on the fateful morning, are awe inspiring. Also included are the LZs outside Saint Mere (Germans flooded bermed pools to try and drown paratroopers).

The cemetery at Colleville leaves you speechless with reverence.

"...All American Forces must leave France by the end of the year [1966]..."
- President (General, ret) Charles André Joseph Marie de Gaulle

"Does that include the dead Americans in military cemeteries as well?"
- Secretary of State David Dean Rusk

The Greatest Generation did nothing less than save the world for democracy.

In spite of the ordeal of travel, glad you’re home safely. You’ve got a LOT of catching up to do.
