Jerry Palm predicts Miami 11 in CFP rankings

If anything it will be interesting to me to see how the committee's initial poll differs from the AP. To me the AP has just turned into a media hype train so it would be nice to see if differ greatly from the AP.

Obviously. But the loser of UGA/Bama will be in too. There's currently 2 one loss teams in. That's my only point. I understand if we win out, we're in.

Not necessarily. These rankings will look nothing like the final thing. People forget the craziness of November college football.
 
if Clemson and ND were to lose a 2nd game and 3rd game respectively, I would start worrying about our undefeated chances if the committee is thinking like these retards
 
None of this **** matters, go undefeated with 1 point wins over VT, ND and Clemson and we'll be in the playoff

A projection about a projection that becomes relevant over a month from now. What a time to be alive.
 
Ohio State 3 years ago opened at #16 I believe. **** doesn't matter in October.

Miami has to win out to make the playoff, simple as that. There's no scenario where we can make it in as a one loss team unless there is complete chaos above us. They're already priming to have UGA and Alabama in if there isn't 3 non-SEC undefeated teams.
 
Week 1 playoff rankings mean ****. A lot of teams in the top 10 will play each other and cancel one another out. If Miami is somehow undefeated and wins the ACC, and then we get left out, then start complaining. If we're at #4 or #10 to the committee, it doesn't mean a thing.
