During the time he got an offer edge posted a pic on ig and said he committed. Nothing officially tweeted out by Miami though

I think it was Edge actually that posted something about his nephew was going to play for the u, but I think he was just lobbying for them to give him a commitable offer. But to be honest we need safeties, and unless we blow Cook away on the visit I don't see him coming here so I wouldn't mind taking JJ if we had too.

Usually they tweet out the welcome to the U and everything with an area code and stuff. They never did anything when it seemed he committed

My tweet to Banda may have been noticed! He's in Orlando now. My guess is he's visiting Carlos Becker and hopefully James
Saying he is Orlando, fl means he is the metro Orlando area and there are roughly 40 plus high schools in the area. An I will tell you this if Jeff James is not related to Edge then we are not discussing him. In that area of Orlando kids are zoned for Olympia or Dr Phillips an he chose Olympia rather than play at nationally ranked DP because he probably wouldn't have started.
Or he could have gone to Bishop Moore with Ray Lewis's son but he wouldn't have started there also.
The offer from Miami was not committable, but more so a courtesy to E James for all he has done for Miami.

I agree and disagree with things in this tweet. I was born and raised in that are and just to toot my own horn, my HS beat Bishop Moore 42-6 this year. Bishop Moore (private $chool - don't just choose to go for free) plays inferior competition when compared to a lot of public schools in the area. Also, HS football players don't bounce around schools as much in Central Florida as opposed to in SoFla... you usually go to the public school you are zoned for. He had 9 interception his senior season. Not to be redundant, but James Jr. had 9 interceptions his senior year. Becker had less than 9 in his entire HS career (6 his senior year).
True I forgot about DP getting in trouble somewhat for recruiting kids. I think now they are just better at it.
Kids transfer around central Florida quite a bit (agreed not like SFL) West Orange HS built a monster team 2 years ago pulling kids from Evans and Olympia.
