Any thoughts on this guy? Team avg 44pts and 500plus yds a game. Qb has thrown for 70tds in 1 1/2 seasons. Learned under petrino. Kicked our *** as qb. . Not advocating for him. Just having a conversation. I am well aware of butch l

Pretty interesting. Probably not enough of a resume yet to be a serious candidate for UM, but definitely looks like someone who is on his way.

Who is his DC going to be and what defense will they run. We can never leave that to an HC hire again -- unless it is Butch.

I'd take a look at him. I want one of these offensive minded coaches. He's 8-5 in his first year there and is 5-1 so far with a bowl win. Not a bad name, I think he needs to do a little more. I would take him over any of the "miami" guys like Chud or schiano or Mario that keep getting thrown around but he wouldn't be in my top 5 right now

I wonder if Maryland doesn't give him a call?

Their AD's comments suggest he wants a wide open offense for their program ... Brohm would deliver that.

If Butch gets the job, I hope he takes a look at the Western Kentucky OC, Tyson Helton. He's USC's interim coach's brother....offensive football family...

I love him I brought him up... would be an exceptional hire. I figure the defense sucks cause he only has like 600k to work with as a staff lol, but he actually gets the best out of his players... they're not all that talented but they play hard for brohm. He recruits florida I don't know how well so don't quote me but I know they have alot of Florida guys. He's played the game at a college and professional level. You bring him in and make Leavitt the DC the offense and defense will be clicking in no time.

One thing that sticks with brohm is the QB relationship since he actually played he can grasp and see exactly what Doughty sees on the field and calls plays accordingly always looking for mismatches.

I wouldn't be mad if he was the next coach at all

The problem with a guy like Brohm is that you have no idea if he understands and can handle the extra curricular stuff that goes on around our program.

There are landmines waiting all over the place and you can step on them very easily if you are not careful. Golden has no arms or legs at this point because of it.

Dave Wandstedt said it best on the radio. If you are going to complain about empty stadiums and facilities, don't take the job.

A guy like Chud knows exactly what it takes to succeed down here.

So for all of time we can only hire coaches with Miami experience?

Been on the bandwagon and loudly beating the drum since the end of last year when they went on the road and knocked off Marshall

No but Brohm is very young and is a climber.

Would he turn a blind eye to the bull**** that goes on in order to enhance his career?

Please explain why Brohm is a better candidate than Chud?

I would love to hear it.

[/QSo did Shannon UOTE]w

Explain why Chud would be better? He has never been a head coach in college, we know nothing about his recruiting, and he coached one year in the NFL was fired and hasn't gotten a sniff since. . Never been mentioned for a ncaa job. He played and coached here, that is it . but so. Did Shannon. I'm not against Chud but he is as much an unknown as the rest of these guys.

Was it him that beat us or his brother Brian? I thought this Brohm was already on Petrino's staff at the time.

If I recall correctly, Chud was a very good recruiter. He didn't always close, but he had UM at #2 with some national studs, and that was under Coker when players could see there was a clown at the helm. He has been a very good OC in college, and he has been in the NFL a long time, so he's seen it all. He's not going to get stumped by what the opposition is doing, ever. See Golden. See Dorito. He might not be able to stop it, but the man at the helm will not get confused. In recruiting, he should be able to sell in a real sense that he will bring UM back to where it belongs. Some old school. Some new school. Not too old, like some say about Butch (I don't agree with that, personally).

Chud is not the big, national, powerhouse hire like many will want. There is no doubt about that. But he has been a hot commodity as an OC in the NFL, and that is worth a lot. He has the mind to make other teams players look silly, much like what current UM opponents do to us.

I am sick and tired of being scheduled for other teams' homecoming. This has to be the last season of this tomfoolery. Everyone might not like Chud, but he would command the respect of every coaching staff of the teams we play. There is high likelihood that our opposition could get outcoached. That hasn't been the case for a long time.

Has ties to Schnelly to. Played for him and coached with him. They play lsu in two weeks. Will check them ouyt
