I understand that Jarren is just a freshman and hasn't grasped the playbook yet. But who says he has to? Can't he go in for a series (or more depending upon how he does) with limited plays that he can handle? From everything we have heard about him, he has the strongest, most accurate, arm of the four. Would a predominantly passing series be that hard for them to let him try his stuff with?

I suspect he knows enough at this point. It was reported on TOS that he got equal reps with Weldon today on 2nd string. Hopefully he gets some reps with the 1s this week too.

I totally agree with you but based off reports from last 2 days..it's like CMR is doing everything he can to keep JW out of the conversation right now.

I don't get it.

6 reps...2 for each backup at this point. Let Rosy practice with the 2's

I really think losing MJJ as an option for next year has changed the thinking on Williams. IDK. I agree it seems like he is being kept back from really getting to compete. Keeping the other two around until next year buys CMR time. Hopefully Jarren will show out enough in the reps he gets that he makes it difficult for the staff to keep him out.

He better get a series or two this week. Everyone should be playing with the new redshirt rules.

What gets me is Richt acts like these guys know nothing about throwing a football, and they won't until working with him a couple years. Man, it's football. Give Williams a few plays and let him learn.

Will see some action in the next 3 weeks is my thinking but likely will shirt and make serious run at starting next season. Probably would not pass Weldon or Perry this season anyways.

I’m all for seeing Jarren play but why so quick to pass over the other two? We’ve established that the talk out of camp wasn’t all true, as evidenced by the same players making the same mistake. We’ve never seen kosi or Weldon take a snap for UM in a real game. Admittedly, I drank a large cup of the kool aid on Rosier’s “improvements” and stated that our ceiling is the highest this season with him. If I could go back in time I’d smack the shiit out of myself for that one. Like most people, I say we gotta find out which of those 3 is the guy going forward.

Kosi probably more physically gifted but Jarren is probably the most polished having better high school coaching but he still needs to get the playbook down. Once he does I think he is heir apparent.

Weldon may also surprise too. Competition has definitely ramped up so if it is fair I am good whoever rises to the top out of that bunch.

Kosi & Jarren are different style QBs. Apples to oranges. Which of the two can throw it a few yards further than the other is insignificant. Both have cannons.

i was just referencing the OP in which he stated Jarren had the strongest arm.

I think Richt desperately wants to keep Rosier as the starter because he is afraid if he starts one of the other 3 the 2 who do not get the call will.TX this spring.. By keeping Rosier the starter this year he can delay naming next years starter right up.till.game time the first game next year. This would probably keep all.3 of than here through next season anywy.

What Playbook??....The 3 or 4 plays we run??...
Rosier tuck & run right
Rosier tuck & run left
Rosier handoff to DJ
Rosier airmails pass 19yds over/behind reciever.....

Stop paying so much attention to coachspeak.
