He didn’t quit. He realized, like half of the team did that he was being passed over just because he was a freshman and not given a fair shot no matter what.

I think you’re wrong on that. J Dub is a passer that can run if he HAS to. With our weapons on offense it doesn’t make sense to put in a run first or inaccurate passer that essentially limits our strongest aspect of the offense. I could very well be wrong but that’s just my $0.02.

Nobody knows the answer to this and the people who say they do are lying. By all accounts, including his own admission, he was not putting in the work necessary to be the QB here last year. Now, was that after he felt he had no shot to win the job? Was it a factor in why he didn’t? This may be a chicken vs the egg argument. Regardless, the people who claim to KNOW williams was a cast off last year are annoying as ****. You’re not in the meeting rooms. You’re not with the kids every day. Williams definitely missed classes and reportedly failed a drug test. He also wasn’t in shape. Even if he was a model student, would Richt have given him a fair shake? Maybe, maybe not. But the people on here who talk like they know everything that went down last year are painful.
