2020 is when Diaz hired Lashlee, what will happen this January 3rd? Hope it is good news ala Lashlee. That would improve 2021!
I don't know... It's a very different atmosphere this year. I don't sense that much fan outrage and vitriol like last year, where it was almost like he had to do something quick to reassure the fan base. Also something would've leaked by now.

With that said, firing Baker would be considered good news for the fan base, so if anything I would expect the news to break on Monday or Tuesday of next week, which is the 4th and 5th of January, respectively, not on Sunday the 3rd.

Diaz is a church going man, i doubt he would fire a close friend on a Sunday. If he's going to do anything, he's going to go to church to pray and get his head straight on Sunday morning and start making moves on Monday if not Tuesday.

EDIT:. He might also be waiting to see how UNC does in their bowl game tomorrow. If UNC goes and spanks Texas A&M he might see it as leverage to keep Baker.

The better question is what is the anniversary of the Enos firing? That is the first step to celebrate and confirm that change is being made...hopefully for the better.
12/26/2019, the day of the Louisiana Tech game. That day the news broke that Penos and Miami were "parting ways."

Unfortunately we didn't see any similar announcement after the Ok State game. We should've heard it after the UNC game tbh.

If Diaz is a church going man, he needs to do the vile deed before he goes to church... easier for the soul with the quick confession.. 🙂

Have you skied a cornice?

I’m typically here every winter while our beloved Canes are in whatever irrelevant bowl (with exception of the Orange a few years ago). The skiing helps take my mind off of our season ending misery. This trip is different due to COVID especially. I’m skiing with my kids every day and watching them get good before my eyes. I’ve been here for the Richt resign/Manny hire, the Enos firing and what I hope is the DC replacement as well, but Manny better hurry as I travel back to So Fla on Monday).
