What difference does it make?

If you line-up in the shotgun with 4 wide then you get less defenders in the box to stop the run.
If you line-up under center with "heavy" personnel then you get a stacked box.

Ultimately it comes do to winning at the point of attack.

I thought he called a great game today, at least in the first half.

Do you think Coley gets conservative by himself or is it something that comes from Al? I'm not a fan of Coley, but the first 2-3 drives of each half seem to be near flawless and almost always end with scores. I feel like he would love to keep momentum going and put teams away, but Al tells him to slow it down and that's where it gets stagnant.

It's also possible that I just hate Golden so much and want him to be at fault for everything no matter what, but would still love to hear your personal opinion on the situation.

I have no idea, dude. It boggles my mind. The guy actually looks like a legit OC sometimes.

I think the main impact Golden has on Coley is telling him to slow the pace down in order to help the defense.

There's no question in my mind that an uptempo style would be a boon to Kaaya and the offense. Nebraska was certainly shellshocked by Miami's fast paced offensive in the first two drives.

This team is learning how to win. Coaches included. The problem is where we should have been 2 years ago.

It took al too long to adjust that's why i think he's toast. I think he has a clue but he has a bigger ego.

There were clock issues but overall the team looks light years ahead of last year and last week

They aren't "learning how to win." What does that even mean? We've beaten ****** teams in close games throughout Golden's tenure.

Miami coach Al Golden telling reporters he told players to be happy about being 3-0. "Good win." Said attacking mind-set got Miami in trouble, specifically pointing to third-and-7 play that ended with an INT.

The loses will be piling up soon again...here comes that trash land defensive SKEEM again

i almost vomited when i heard him say that. if we learned anything last year v fsu is that when you stop playing aggressively, you lose.

al said he was too aggressive and almost lost the game. he's wrong. the problem was the play call or the execution (interception) but not the philosophy.

when we did not go for it on fourth and a quarter year and went for the FG, that was a mistake, should have been aggressive at that juncture and it would have put the game away. yuo could feel the energy vaporize in the stadium when the punt team came in.

his offense continues to come out on fire in "big games" only to sputter in the 2nd half, people keep blaming golden going conservative, but theres more to it, mainly adjustments

Am I the only one who doesn't understand why you won't use a bigger back(Gray) in the redzone rather then Yearby?

Like LU said, they probably don't trust him. Also being big alone doesn't make you a physical short yardage back. Just look at our own Gus. It's a certain mentality and the best short yardage guy we have had in recent memory has been Dallas Crawford, who isn't that big and isn't that good of back period.
