Nicks, primarily working at quarterback although he projects as a running back or slot receiver at the next level, picked up offers from Florida and Miami within the last week to add to a budding list of Power Four programs checking out the versatile prospect from the unincorporated community 10 miles south of Talladega.
"That hyped me," Nicks said of the Florida offer. "I felt the same way about Miami. Malachi [Toney] is my favorite player, so that gives it extra value. It feels like a great representation for the hard work I've put in."
Nicks is currently a three-star prospect with an 86 grade and is a dual-sport player with a decent baseball background as well. The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder is the true definition of an athlete as he primarily works at quarterback, but he'll also return punts and sometimes line up at receiver for the 1A program.
