I admit I don't keep up with the NFL as much as I used to but doesn't this seem pretty **** high? I was under the assumption Brissett was okay but not great. Is he overpaid or are qb salaries just going insane?

Didn't Al go to a basketball game and talk to him, coming away saying something strange like: "We are working on him, Jacoby has just the type of length we look for in a young man." I cant remember the exact quote but I know Golden was stricken by the young man's length.

I do remember that we were hot on his trail but I don't remember if he committed. I would probably not remember him at all if his name didn't sound like brisket.

A good brisket sandwich is hard to find these days.

This. All of this.

I hope the psychological pay raise help's the team's confidence. I need T.Y to produce in my fantasy league (lol).

We live in a world where dak thinks he deserves to be a top paid QB so of course the colts overpay for a pretty good backup quality guy

OVERPAID and a rash decision. He is an at best solid back up qb
I think he’s a decent starter. 2 year/30 mill is pretty much the going rate for an average starter. I think it’s a good decision for them cause if he balls out then it would have been real expensive to resign him. If he’s not good, it’s only 2 years and they can draft a QB and have him as the bridge QB till their QB is ready.

He's getting $20million guaranteed which is super cheap for QB's in the league.

For comparison sake, Jimmy Garoppolo got $41mill in guarantees, Andy Dalton is making $17mill from his last extension & Josh Rosen has $17.4mill left on his rookie deal from Arizona.

$16-20 million is basically the league average for a QB.

Use to get one at a place in N Miami Beach on 163rd many years ago. Can’t remember the name. Not a mainstay for me but you’re right, hard to find good one these days.

TY Hilton played for FIU, Jacoby Brissett spent his first 2 years at UF then transferred to NC St.
I knew if I waited you would fill in the blanks. If I remember correctly, it looked like we might have a shot at him because gator tried to greyshirted him.
