Jabril Robinson to transfer

Saban tried to block a grad transer of that DB from Bama to UGA. Smith, I think. He almost came here, and ended up going to Bama, which never made sense since he was a grad transfer. Which leads to the question, can a school "block" a grad transfer (as Saban tried to do with the DB), and would Dabo do it to an ACC school for this kid.

Not sure about this one. Tito transferred from a crappy Illini team. This guys seems unwilling or unable to compete on a great team.
We're a good to getting great team.

Schools have no say in where you transfer once you graduate, you're done there technically. It's considered an academic transfer.

I’m against blocking of transfers in any form, graduate or undergraduate. It’s not Saban, it’s the NCAA.

I don't think Dabo has a say in this one, much less cares. I think with their studs returning he probably is looking for a place where he can get the burn he thought he'd see @ Clemson this season.

Beggars can't be choosers. For whatever reason, we're still beggars for DTs.

The rule, which dates to 2005, allows an athlete who’s completed his degree to transfer and play immediately if the current school doesn’t offer his or her preferred graduate program.
Student-athletes who have earned their bachelor’s degree may also participate in athletics as a graduate student at another Division I college provided they meet certain criteria (NCAA Bylaw 14.6.1) or obtain an NCAA waiver.

He’s sitting behind locked in first round draft picks and prbly a backup who is just as talente

And they are bringing in a sick class of highly rated kids who I’m sure will get the mop up duty burn

He might not be a first round pick but no offense to our guys we don’t have any 1st round locks at DT next season

So he graduates from a poor academic institution and wants to get a grad degree from a respectable school like UM, that makes sense to me. BTW, no grad program at Clemson is comparable to any other grad program except maybe LSU!!!

He's 6' 2" 270. He's better than Willis? Otherwise, how does he start or get major playing time?

Sorry, but putting all your eggs in the Willis basket is questionable. Not only has he been unable to stay on the team so to speak, you have no idea what he'll do once the action starts. I hope he's fantastic, but there's not a lot of evidence at this point.

Ok, so you're saying he starts over Willis

Actually, it looks like he's saying maybe Willis will work out, maybe not. Unless I'm mistaken, the point is that more bodies are needed at DT and if this dude can contribute then he's worth a look.
