It seems the consensus among many and cmr is that the kid is not ready.

What I don’t understand is how is that possible?

He was a EE and cmr only had like 5 plays he runs so why the **** is he not ready, is he really dumb and can’t memorize 5 plays?

It’s like cmr will make up every excuse to keep trotting out malik

Yeah, but other true freshmen can come in and start right away. Ours, who by all accounts is a student of the game, can not learn enough to play in this ever so complex O? Nah. Richt is just so far behind the times he thinks it's impossible for a freshman QB to play.

Richt needs to put in the most talented players and run an O to their strengths, NOT keep trying to pound a square peg into a round hole. That crap is infuriating.

Lot more than just knowing the playbook. We have no idea how he reads defenses in practice etc.

This!

True and Red Shirt Freshman’s are starting all across America, yet for some reason, we can’t? I’m not just talking about the QB position either; I’m talking about all positions. Richt is stuck in a hot tub time machine.

Jon Richt

Coaching career

Georgia
Richt spent the 2014 season serving on Georgia’s staff as a quality control assistant

Buffalo Bills
During his lone season in Buffalo, the Bills posted an 8-8 record

Miami
On January 2, 2016, University of Miami football head coach Mark Richt named his son Jon as the Hurricanes’ Quarterbacks coach for the start of the 2016 campaign

Yep. Same frustration I feel watching Lingard on the sidelines. Find plays that showcase his strengths while he works on his weaknesses. It's not rocket science. If the guy doesn't block well, limit the amount of blocks he can potentially miss. Throw the man some screen passes. Get him the ball in space. ANYTHING is better than sitting on the bench watching Homer get caught by grandma.

WTF does that even mean? How do you draw up plays where the running back has literally no responsibility?

great idea! let's put the true freshman QB in so he can get kill with our awful O lime play. Look at Nebraska they have a true freshman playing and he is getting killed plus they are 0-6. and please don't give the bs "oh, well look at tua in bama and lawrence in clemson" Do we really want to jeopardize williams with this O line and his lack of understanding of college level football. c'mon

You do realize I was making fun of the original post, right?

Most likely Rich is just being overly cautious. The young man needs to be given an opportunity if he's earned it. That's the one thing that we don't know.

Plus the cherry on top he has been hurt c'mon

This, the kid needs more touches. He's a threat to score from anywhere.

Are you that stupid? I never said no blocking responsibilities, just limit them. He will get better with reps faster than sitting on the **** bench.

Cool, tell me the play where his blocking responsibilities would be "limited" as opposed to a different play design. Would he only have to block half of the defender?

Why burn Lingard's RS? He's only played in 4 games so far this yr. Homer & Dallas can get the job done, and you throw Trayone in there and you got plenty of talent at the position. Lingard knew there's a chance he may RS this year
