Ivey's Interception on saturday

I don't thats why I'm asking. someone was wrong there, trying to figure who
You seem to think that every play can be covered by everyone on the field. That's not at all how it works. there are only so many options and things you can take away and as LCE already stated this was probably the best coverage Miami has played all year. No one cares abou the 5 yards underneath, you come up and make the tackle. fight next down. however if Ivey bites that easy 6. Any good corner in zone coverage will absolutely have 1 eye on the slot and 1 eye on the guy in front of him. They should always sink until the ball is thrown. If the ball is thrown short....go make the tackle and don't miss on the tackle. If the ball is thrown deep....GO GET IT.

I just can't tell if this was a verizon of cover 6 (2&4) or a cover 3 look. I'd err to cover 6 because of safety alignment presnap. If it was 3 BK20 would need to be on the pro hash to make it over the top to the outside, but then again he shouldn't have too, because your corner should be right where DI8 was standing.

thats what you see? who had the receiver he was originally covering? was Hall out of position?
He was watching the QB. When he wound up for the throw there's a second where 8 pauses thinking about going back to his WR in the flat, then he heads upfield. QB had 8s guy wide open underneath, but I think he'd already made his choice and 8 saw that. 8 took a gamble and won, there's not much to complain about there. Maybe next time he loses, but what I'll say is at least he gambled on the bigger threat- the guy going to the endzone. Had he broken on the short receiver that might have been a TD.
