It's Befuddling

I've been a Cane fan since 1963 and an alum as well. I've seen great Cane football and not so good football. Through all thee ups and downs I have never experienced the exasperation that I have now. It's obvious to anyone with eyes that the whole show is the result of **** poor coaching and game preparation. What's worse, however, is the lack of grit on this team. At some point, as we watch, we expect, we pray, that the team will rise to the occasion. But they don't. They just go through the motions..and lose.
Coming from a blue collar, working class, environment I remember a term we used for people who didn't give 110%...."their hearts pump ****"

This is exasperating, but worse than the Golden years? How about Coker's last couple years when the program fell off the map? The 1970's?
 
Having survived Coker, Blandy, Folden and to end up with Mork.... even the most enduring fans are weary and hopeless

I think this hurts because this is a top 10 team and Richt can recruit his *** off. He is the perfect HC but his stubborness wont allow him to admit his mistake with this offensive scheme and playcalling for our personnel. There is minimal adaptation on offense. He is so close to being an elite coach, he doesn't even realize it. Elite coaches have to be cut throat and businesslike 1st and foremost.
 
Somehow this time it just feels like we have hit our last iceberg and we are sinking for the final time.. no hope left....

.... the extension was the final nail in the coffin.

I think this team bought into their own hype too much. It showed in the LSU game. After they scored the first touchdown the whole team was shell shocked. Almost pouting that the other team got the jump on them. Friday night, Richt had that same attitude. He's done as a play caller and if he can't be happy being CEO, then he needs to retire.
 
Clappy: not a HC. UM to oblivion.

Radio: not a HC. UM to bolivion.

Gluten: not a HC, narcissist. Currently in oblivia.

Pricht: bad HC, narcissist. Proving UGA resources helped him, not the way around. Headed towards retirement in Bolivia.
 
This is more frustrating than the Golden years. We all knew we weren't as talented or deep as we needed to be back then. We knew Coach No D would make us pull our hair out. We knew we were a couple years away from a full roster due to scholarship reductions. Still , we should have seen better results.

THIS team is talented, and deeper than it's been in years. There is NO EXCUSE for the O and special teams play we see. None at all. There is no excuse for Rosier to look worse than he did 3 years ago. No excuse for Richt at all to have this O choking the way it is. It is broken beyond repair.

Also... Think of how bad our D was under No D, and look at where it is now. Had our O taken a similar step, even a much smaller step but a step forward, we'd be undefeated or **** close.

Lets also note that in year 3, right still is playing with 70-something kids. Because his philosophy is so right, actual players don’t matter. He’s like Al Golden, minus the binders and energy.

Jesus wept. I've been asking about how many scholarship guys we have because I'm too lazy to go look it all up but fk me.

The NCAA took away those scholarships years ago and we just decided that we didn't need them anyway.

There’s an old quip about two bulls up on a hill looking down at a bunch of cows. The young bull says dad, let’s run down there and **** one of them cows. Dad says naw, son, let’s walk down there and **** them all.

Now there’s a cmr adenda to this story. The cmr bull says no, son, let’s not go down there at all, because intercourse is for other people. let’s just sit up here and talk about how you’re supposed to do it, if you’re the kind of person who does that sort of thing.
