Don't tell me about recruit rankings, what I know is our OL is A##. Our DL is not much to brag about. Give me the rankings of the Line-of-Scrimmage. I'm sure we would come in near the bottom.

But to be honest, I expected something both on the offensive and defensive line. Really felt we could improve there and all that happened is regression.

I still remain convinced we dont practice full contact in full pads, we look slow on the O-Line, there is no explosive ability, no functional strength, no contact balance whatsoever (which is the biggest problem surrounding the entire team), hand placement is wild and erratic... if any of them would play at Wisconsin or Iowa right now, they would get their scholarships pulled and asked for refund because its theft. I can even see it in TE and WR blocking, Herbstreit used to call out how well we blocked in nationally televised games when it came to wide receivers blocking. Unsurprisingly, that happened when Richt was the coach and not Diaz.

D-Line is getting killed because of a clueless scheme. I cant even fault the players, some of them dominate their 1v1-matchups but they cant do anything regarding the play, because its out of position. If Nesta had a proper 2-gap like Wilfork next to him clogging lanes and holding up double teams, I still believe he would do enough damage to be considered a NFL draft pick. But he cant, because its just run upfield and see what happens. No one sets an edge, no one can set an edge, theres no goalline package apparently, no one fills lanes, no one sets a play up for someone else to make, its like letting four dogs chase a sausage.

So, how much is on coaching and how much is on the players? Defensively, imo, its coaching. Offensively, its both. You cant expect this O-Line to work when you have to start players who werent bothered to learn the playbook of Dan Enos and as much **** as Enos has received, I cant fault him when you have players on the offensive line not knowing the **** play. Its chicken ****, not chicken salad.
