Don't re-create the wheel! What's proven to work in College Football is to hire a professional caliber coach and staff. Don't see us being able to afford to pilfer one from a few used to be lower level teams, ie, Baylor, TCU, Utah. See- Michigan and UCLA as fine examples of hiring very good professional caliber coaches and staffs. I think Butch or Schiano would be easy to ink and keeps the process short and would create a huge buzz around the program. There are other candidates, but I think both these guys not only wants the job, but would covet the chance to bring the U back to prominence.
