Shannon was against Nevin. Nevin was dealing with higher ups including Donna. I think they are afraid Golden can expose them publicly.

oh yeah. its not a coincidence she resigned shortly after the decision by NCAA. thats why she was self-imposing. its like the mafia when they tell someone just plead guilty so our secrets dont come out. Nevin was walking into administration offices, naming parts of school after him. Donna is afraid to fire al.

Golden is here because they think he can be Butch 2.0

There isn't one sane or rational person who would think that after all the evidence is examined and the body of work considered.

The evidence and body of work to this point all point to the fact that Al Golden is dogmatic, narrow minded and completely inflexible coach who's rigid thinking and zealotry toward his passive risk averse style is rooted in the fact that he has little or no ability to adjust to ever changing variables that this game demands in order to succeed. He has shown a disturbing inability to solve problems using his own intellect and reason which stems from his mind boggling lack of feel for the game. Because of this he is forced to rely on a predetermined set of rules that he follows to the letter regardless of the situation. Consequently he is routinely out smarted, out maneuvered, out foxed and ultimately out coached by coaches who field equal to notably less talent.

This is why an Al Golden coached team will always be at a disadvantage before they even get taped up. All of the numbers and statistics bear this out. This is why he is incapable of beating teams good enough to finish with less than 5 losses. The man is clearly in over his head. As has been said before he is a MAC or even an Ivy league caliber coach who is utterly useless at this level of football.

Goldie is a perfect example of the Peter Principle, in over his head.
