While I don't have any inside information, the actions of the U School coaches and their star players were very suspect over the past couple of years. We bungled the Jordan Cunningham and Skai Moore situation, which didn't help. But that may have been due to that program's behaviors. I'm not surprised the school disbanded the program given the shady reputation the coaches had built up.

It just goes to show you the true politics in South Florida Football. Its crazy to me that these kids are put in different environments that they cant even think for themselves.

I hear what you're saying, 850, but I put this more on the coaches and school than the players. As you wrote, they're kids. They're easily influenced. And when you have a coach telling them they can live large now, it's much more attractive than coaches telling them not to go for the duffle-bag option, but instead to work incredibly hard for 5+ more years, including studying and passing classes for the first time in their life, just so they have a shot at living large for life.

Kids go from a school that doesnt get along with the Miami staff to a school that wants kids to go to Miami and encourages it. Politics of sofla recruiting help and hurt it usually evens out. At the end of the day it is up to the staffs to find a way to get the players to win championships.

meanwhile scarlett is still committed to fau. i am still not getting my hopes up even if he clearly doesn't belong there.

Uschool dropped football, when? That's cray if true. I thought the star players transferred because Harriot left for FAU.

Go Canes

Sorry, but we didn't bungle anything with Jordan Cunningham. That was a cycle where we took only one WR, and I don't know about you, but I would much rather have Stacey Coley than Jordan Cunningham.

We did offer Skai Moore on signing day, and to some that is a slap in the face, but understand that we were tight on ships at the end there and Matt Thomas had our staff convinced that we were in it. So obviously you wait it out and see what the #1 OLB will do before offering your plan B.

Yes I know, Skai Moore played well last year, but honestly, would you have offered Moore over Thomas?

No

So you don't offer skai more before signing day because of Thomas. So I'm assuming every other linebacker we took that day was offered on signing day as well.

Every linebacker/ DE we took that year is not having an impact like Moore did. So yes they did fail.

I guess golden felt entitled that he should commit since he offered him on signing day.

Why would you not croot BOTH players and get a feeling for what they are saying before you shoot yourself in the foot by not crootin both guys and missing on both.

Especially since Thomas told Coley that Miami didn't have a chance:
