Is tomorrow a must win?

Also, FSU won their Orange Bowl against Harbaugh. To lose against Wisconsin would be a disgrace.

FSU took that massive Orange Bowl win against Michigan and followed it up with a 6-6 season and a losing record in the ACC.

So yeah, absolute must win.

They got their doors blown off by a non-P5 Houston team in another NY6 Bowl the year before and still pulled in a top 3 class and a top 5 ranking.

They had to pay a team that didn't even have enough scholarships to count towards bowl eligibility (oh, my bad - academic scholarships count, lol) to come play them at the end of the season just to be bowl eligible. Pathetic. I'd honestly be ashamed if Miami did that and I be so disgusted I wouldn't watch whatever sh#tty bowl they managed to land in. But then again having a sense of honor isn't exactly something FSU is known for.

We couldn't sell tickets for the Sun Bowls or the Independence Bowl we played in the 7 years, I doubt Miami would have tried to play into one of those games knowing they'd take a big hit on the money for not selling their allotment.

Every game is a must win in my world. Would hate to end the year on a 3 game skid but any year you beat the Noles, Lamers and VT can't be all bad.
Go Canes !!!

This is not a must win. This game is only about pride.

Look at how the teams prepared. Wisconsin started practicing for this game on the 8th. We started on the 17th. Our coaches clearly prioritized recruiting with the early signing date and big visit weekend instead of practicing the week of the 10th.

We are also considerably crippled by the loss of our biggest playmakers . Walton, Herndon, and Richards are gone. We have critical players like rj and Norton focused more on the NFL decision than the game.

And the fans on this forum seem to have forgotten this game existed. Like it or not the players are human just like us and the attitude of this forum probably does a good job reflecting the attitude of the team itself. Remember the vt and nd games? There were literally 100 threads on those teams the week leading up to the games, the board was clearly focused on those games and our team came out similarly focused. Remember the lead in to unc, uva, or Pitt? There were about 13 threads combined on those match ups - no one was focused on these games and the team came out similarly unfocused.

All in all, this game has no bearing on the future of this program.

Beat down in front of a packed house gets us a couple of signing day surprises. My man Jaquan gonna feast on those floaters. Need the front seven to step up their games. Shaq will be tested, time to step up and play like on of the greats.

Go Canes!

Not saying I would be disappointed in the season, but losing 3 straight to end it would leave a sour taste in my mouth mane

Rosier needs to step the **** up

Not a MUST-win by virtue of the early signing period (that and the fact that the Noles and Terds are having their worst years ever).

That being said, LETS GO CANES!!! #BEATTHEBADGERS !!!

How’s bigg hoss ryan fines looking?

The team next year won't resemble this one very much on O. Possibly a new QB, new TEs, new HBs, a couple contributing new WRs, new FB. With that in mind, I don't see how a W is a must. Oh, and 3/4 of our recruiting class has signed. We are going to see a vastly more talented team on O next year, and the D should be improved as well.

I'd love to see us end with a win, but to think it will derail the progress being made is a bit silly. We will be better next year regardless of what happens tomorrow.

Instead of calling it "must win" let's highlight what is at stake here. WINNING THE ORANGE BOWL. We haven't won the Orange Bowl since January of 2004! Since then our highest profile games were played in the Peach Bowls. 14 years since our last Orange Bowl win/ appearance. That's what's at stake here.

It's also sending our seniors out with a win, a major bowl W they've earned after living through the worst of the Al Golden era.

Not winning leaves a lot of questions. Kicking their midwest **** back to cheese land leaves nothing but answers, like: Yes college football has a new sheriff and one that everyone remembers.

This is very simple. Beta males and their participation trophies believe there are games that are not as important as others. Alpha males and their championship trophies enter every game as though it is a must-win. If you think I'm kidding or just trying to be Mr. internet tough guy, you are wrong and do not know the history of this program. Do you think Randall Hill ran into the tunnel in the Cotton Bowl because he thought it would be a cool clip to show his kids 20 years later? No, they were trying to win, dominate, embarrass and demoralize the other team. Ask Christopher Herndon if Pittsburgh was a must-win. I'm sure he would much rather have been going through the motions with a three touchdown lead like we should have had rather than pressing and ending up hurting his knee.
