Is this a Terrible QB class?

It's been said on here, and I know a tad bit more now, but Lashlee could definitely have had Kaidon Salter if he wanted him. For the life of me I can't figure out why the Canes didn't offer him.

I'm a buffoon because I asked if this is a Terrible QB class?

You're a buffoon because you are acting as if we have not "made any additional offers", you think we are "locked in on Garcia", you think this is a "terrible QB class" and you have paid no attention whatsoever to anything that has happened over the past couple of years.

Do you want to know if this is a "terrible QB class"? Pull up the Rivals/247 rankings of QBs in this, or any, recruiting class. Comparable.

Do you actually think that Miami isn't offering QBs? Take a look at our offer list (and the commit list of our offerees). Take a look at the UNcommitted QBs who are available.

You are a buffoon because you behave like a small child who mistakenly thinks that we "only want" Garcia, when the reality is that Garcia is the only one of MANY MANY UM offerees who has reciprocated our interest. And maybe that will change in a few months. But FOR NOW, nothing has changed.

We are on our 3rd OC in 3 years. We just finished SECOND-TO-LAST in offensive production under Enos. Any of Lashlee's QB targets when he was at SMU are already committed. Plus, we've had COVID-19, so it is harder to CREATE new connections with out-of-state QBs (there aren't many SoFla QBs we have recruited over the past few years) and recruit them and get them to commit when nobody is taking visits.

Here's the reality. Miami has offered a ton of good QBs. This year, a higher percentage of kids are committed than in prior years. Kids are not able to take visits. The "dead period" has been extended multiple times. Miami is making massive efforts to recruit QBs, but almost every target is already committed and/or not returning Miami's interest. And there aren't many uncommitted QBs left.

But, instead, you are going to stomp your feet and try to blame it on Miami not making offers and/or a "terrible QB class"?

Stop behaving like a buffoon.

Fair but you also have to extend an offer and recruit them to sign a recruit.

OK, I'll play along.

Offers to QBs. By UM. Per year.

Per Rivals/Per 247

2021 - 14 (Rivals), 16 (247)
2020 - 12/14
2019 - 8/8
2018 - 12/11
2017 - 15/17
2016 - 13/14
2015 - 14/13

So, yeah, we've offered as many (if not more) than in any other recent year.

And if you think there are any particularly talented QBs that Miami has failed to offer, and that have interest in UM (but for our failure to offer), I would love to know the names of these QBs that anyone thinks we are not recruiting.

As for "recruit them", feel free to describe what you think is happening, or not happening. Lashlee took the job in January. Covid kicked in during March. The dead period for recruiting has been extended several times. Nobody is taking any official visits, and there have been very few unofficial visits. And since we tend to recruit QBs from outside SoFla, it makes things quite challenging. Finally, as has been discussed numerous times, at this point, Garcia is the only highly-rated offeree who has reciprocated interest in UM. At least at this point. Things might change with kids committed to Pac 12/Big 10 schools, or at schools who may fire their coaches over the past few months.

But at this point, it is not a failure to offer or a failure to recruit.

as most posters have already said. There really isnt much need to freak out. If this season plays out like we expect it should, we'll have our 4* QB or get one of the top kids who hit the portal.

What are peoples opinions on Deion Sanders kid? He looked pretty **** good on national tv the other day and it would seem insane to ruin your career playing for Taggart

According to Kaiden he was shocked he never got that offer. He was waiting and would have gave a verbal on spot. I’ve heard that from Kaiden himself, his father and his cousin Jimmy is a active Miami fan on twitter saying the same thing

Did you even read my post? I asked if this was a terrible QB class... I never said it was a terrible QB class. The only QB we have heard tied to Miami is Garcia... We haven't heard anything about any other QB in months.. the majority of QBs who Lashlee offered while he was here he didn't even pursue outside Milroe and Vandagriff who were never coming here. So like I said is the reason he's not pursing anyone except Garcia because he thinks Garcia will definitely flip or is it because he thinks it's a terrible class and he cannot find anyone else.. Jesus Christ it was a simple question where several other people answered without an issue.

He was interested in Jay Allen but wouldn't give Kaiden the time of day? Very strange

You are a ridiculous fvcktard, on this and many other threads.

Again, plenty of QBs have been offered. Lashlee doesn't need to "re-offer". He has contacted all of the QBs that Miami has offered, several times. Multiple posters have confirmed that the only blue-chip QB who has reciprocated Miami's interest at this point is Garcia.

Furthermore, you continue to whine your talking points on multiple threads. When you don't get someone to smooth your hair and dry your tears, you run somewhere else to regurgitate the same bullsh!te.

I don't care if a couple of other people with far more patience for jagoffs such as yourself chose to answer your retarded questions. It doesn't change the fact that you are jumping onto multiple threads pushing the same asinine nonsense.

We are in Covid and the NCAA has extended the dead period multiple times. What kind of recruiting magic do you think is going to happen? You want Lashlee to start sending out offer form letters to every uncommitted QB with whom he has never previously spoken, like a desperate fraternity rush chairman?

Stop crying. Let Lashlee build a D'Eriq King resume, and give the kids to visit campuses, and business will pick up again.

Good lord, D$ specifically started an "uncommitted QBs thread" and explicitly said to put all the discussion in there, but you HAD to have your own thread to whine about QB recruiting, even though you said the same exact crap in D$'s thread.

You are desperate for attention and validation.

I watched Braylon Braxton's tape and I understand he didn't do the camp circuit and how that affects things but....I don't get why folks aren't on him even more (not just Miami, all the bigger schools). That kid looks like the goods. Good mobility. Good arm strength. Seems accurate to my eye. His stats look pretty decent.

Regarding Miami, because we've got their TE in the fold, you'd think, camps or not, we'd have seen enough of his tape/Arroyo's tape to realize he's a good QB.

Maybe it's grades or something off the field or he likes his steak well done, i dunno. But if there's nothing behind the scenes that's a red flag, I hope we give him a look (and an offer) and don't just throw all our eggs in the Garcia basket.

The fact that Garcia is sticking with USC makes me think he isn’t too bright & makes me not want him. Another top tier QB signed there + their season is canceled. It’s as dumb a move as you can make to sign there.

From your statement I'm assuming this ship has sailed.....?

This is what confuses about the staff. You have a high-profile QB, and family apparently, who's 100% on board but somehow word doesn't get around to you. Whoever's in charge of recruiting Texas needs to get it together.

I've also noticed a bunch of guys say that the kids in Texas love Miami. Why is that?

We'll have QBs knocking down our door next year with the new offense IMO. Hopefully King comes back for BAMA.

This pretty much. OP doesn’t need his own thread to re-post what I now see he has posted in the “Uncommitted QB’s” thread, which was set up for that, so everyone please feel free to visit OP there. Here’s the link starting off with TOC and OP:

@IndayArtHauz it is time that I learn how to merge a thread into another.
