Is there anyone out there that doesnt think the Canes can win this thing?

I'm almost having a hard time seeing them lose. The O and D line will be the difference. The way the defense has been playing all year showed me they are built for this moment. A few hiccups in games they should have won, but the last 4 games were unlike anything we have seen in YEARS! I am picturing Mario with that trophy over his head in January. Will it into existence. LETS GO CANES!!!! :neonu:
I absolutely think they can win the whole thing, but I can definitely see them just as easily losing in the 1st round. Again, they did lose to Louisville and SMU.
2 things needed; No turnovers and Mario has to play to win. These will be elite teams and if left to a referee, FG, one-possession (good chance this happens anyway) then the combined odds are never in your favor.

this thread is not going to age well.

facts there is the data

Yep.

People want facts?

1) There's a 60-65% likelihood we lose his first round to TAM. Their front seven on defense has the ability and scheme to stop us. And they have the playmakers on offense to get the explosives, and the O-Line to control our front seven

2) IF (and that's a huge IF), we get past them, then there's maybe a 15% chance we can make it past all of OSU, Georgia, and Oregon. That's a crazy tall order back to back to back. We have the hardest draw in the playoffs, and that's just reality.

CAN we win it? Maybe. But I wouldn't bet hard earned money on it.

LOL

OF COURSE they can lose to the Aggies- they are an underdog in the betting lines for a reason!

A&M was the third ranked team in the SEC

with several All Americans.
Yeah...thats true...nobody has ever won being a 3.5 point underdog...thanks for bringing me back down to earth

Reality is if we do lose to A&M 90% of this board will spiral into a "I told you so because" delirium......

We'd have to bring our A++ game on both sides of the ball x4 given our history of INTs and offensive procedural penalties. If the coaching staff can demonstrate they have a newfound handle on things and beat A&M then i think unshackling high expectations is substantiated. Beating mid-tier ACC schools was proof of concept.
