is there an appeal for Lucas???

I'm just saying, it's not impossible.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
For sure.

Here is what bothers me the most about the appeal process: the “clearly obvious” standard inherently should mean there isn’t a week of deliberations as to whether it’s targeting. Hëll, refs spend just a few minutes on the field reviewing a targeting call. So either grant the appeal, or don’t. But dragging this out, when we are the only call being appealed so there really is no excuse to not have this adjudicated promptly, is pathetic by the NCAA.

I would think it would be overturned. The optics are bad. If they overturn it, you know the media will praise them for making the right decision.

You say this like if you know at all

- when we appeal
- whether or not they have responded
- how much time has elapsed

You’re assuming they are sitting on it, but we know nothing. For all we know the appeal was already responded to.

No, the appeal was not already responded to, these are all publicly announced, just do a quick Google search. Earlier this year, Jaishawn Barham of Michigan was ejected for targeting on August 30th. Two days later (the next business day), his appeal was denied by the NCAA. This doesn’t take a week to be resolved, and I refuse to believe Miami didn’t appeal almost immediately, it’s silly you even suggest that. Our game was a week ago and still no news.

It is not lost on me that Big 10 officials missed several PIs on Ole Miss, did not call the hit on TOny Targeting but call targeting on Lucas (former Wisky B10, that left) to get him suspended against another B10 team in the next game.

Your "refusal to believe" is just another way of saying "you dont know", which was my point. In fact, you dont even know if we appealed at all.

Just sit tight and wait until there is an annoucement or one of our genius reporters ask Mario directly about it.

I’m sure they’ve appealed it too, it would be nice to get an answer on it.

After posting around a bunch of lawyers for 15 years I know enough about governing bodies not wanting to mess with precedents to know Lucas won’t be available until the 2nd half
You deserve a lifetime supply of tren, dbol, and primo for having to endure that.
