We know there has been a long recent history of the University being a Mom and Pop organization. The investment in Mario and his program was either viewed as an anomaly or a turning point by some. Whether its Mario or not (he is not forever), do you see any going back or will Miami continue to be a major player in this new world of pay for play? I am hoping that everyone sees the light now and that this football program be run like a professional organization for the unforeseen future.

make no mistake about it. The number one reason why miami went down hill was because of the trash admins and alums thinking and trying to make miami into harvard south. Miami (fl) means football and thats what made miami period.

it all came to a head years back when a guy like ricky jean francois couldn't get into miami yet lsu made it work. Miami got exactly what it deserved. flat trash move and a pathetic line of thinking. Miami should ALWAYS have a top notch track team (which helps football), baseball squad and a dam strong football team.

About time they got back to their roots which is the football team cause most no one would give a dam about miami had it not been for those teams in the early 80's putting the university on the map save for some alums who weren't willing to accept reality.

The university tried to parlay the success of the football and turn it into an academic powerhouse and it backfired.
