The relevant question is whether he counts against the NCAA cap. Offensive assistant seems like it might be code for "senior graduate assistant", or it could mean caddy my HC/OC dad as he gets more hands on with the offense.

I believe he is a full time assistant coach. I can't imagine UM putting out a press release about a guy who would not be considered one of the full time assistant coaches.
