Is Duke a legit Heisman candidate?

Just stay healthy, hope the team around can put a lot of wins o the board, and things will sort themselves out as they usually do.

Marshall Faulk was robbed of one Heisman years ago at San Diego State because he wasn't on a good team, was an underclassmen, but was the first person to run for 2k yards in a season in forever. **** of a running back.

Gurley hasn't been able to stay healthy either. People love to overreact and be the first on a bandwagon.

If you listen to the mopey faygalas on here, Duke is slightly above average, and Gurley is a cross between God and Zeus. If they let Duke return some kicks this year and we win like we should win he can easily be in contention for the award.

haha...classic!!!

I see that some of the mopey dopes slithered back to the Greasy site.

I wish some of these buttholes were as excited about our players as they are about everyone else's. They speak of opponents in reverent terms don't they? Then, they **** talk a UM legend like Duke scouring the earth for alleged bumps in his game.

I guess it bears repeating:

Willis McGahee, in a season coming off of a national title, in a season playing for another, amidst a 35 game winning streak, rushed for 1,750 yards, had almost THIRTY rushing TD's and finished FOURTH.

It's not happening.

Would he have come in 2nd if Dorsey was not on the ballot too? I'm pretty sure Dorsey and him split votes that would have gone to one or the other had they been the only Cane on the ballot that year.

I've been in Athens all weekend, and went to the game on Saturday, and everyone here has been talking about Gurley, and rightfully so. But, whenever I bring up Duke, they either laugh, or even pretend like they don't know who he is. So, do I have orange and green glasses on? Or, is he in the same league as Gurley? If not, what does he have to do this year to get himself into the conversation?

Play in the SEC.

What conference does Winston play in?

I didn't say you can't win unless you're in the SEC, I said that would get him in the conversation.

There's truth in those words. ESPN has already been repeating ad nauseam, for the past 2 months, the handful they're allowing to compete for it.
