Is a sports passion always odd or unhealthy

Its odd and unhealthy for everyone else who does not match the passion or the drive that you have for doing that sport. People wonder about Michael Jordan and his mentality of playing basketball simply because they haven't done it that way. That accounts for people who don't participate the sport and for athletes who simply do not share that mindset.

I know a lot of people who don't follow or watch soccer and they don't understand why I and many others play it. And it's a waste of time explaining it because they wouldn't understand why.

At the same time, it can become odd and unhealthy for us as well. If we follow and participate in a sport where we ignore both physical and mental borders and damage our body both short and long-term, its becoming unhealthy. And that correlates to not necessarily sucking all the time (pause), but more to being good and just not getting it done at the end when it matters.
I hear you I’m just saying most non sports fans condescend about what they don’t understand.

Same here. I've made an effort to become a hockey fan, bc it's a pretty good product to watch... especially in person. But still nothing comes close to college football.

I truly don't know how anyone can consistently watch NBA or MLB anymore. I'd be more into any random group of 5 football game than watching NBA players flop around or take endless free throws.

Hopefully The Rock can put together a decent product with the XFL and I can just watch football year round. There should be a ton super talented practice squad and guys who get cut after a few years caliber players looking to extender their playing days.
NBA is probably the only other sport I watch consistently. Even then, the season is so long, I tend to lose interest until the playoffs.

Also, Formula 1 racing and the sports car series’ are fun to watch
