Looked pretty fast on that catch he had Saturday. Hope he gets some more touches

Irving is in line for a starting role next season if he keeps it up.

Continued maturity will make him a player.

His real challenge is "lack of hunger". You must remember he was born with a Silver Spoon in his mouth.

Very good player imo...

Talented receiver with great hands & good route running, but still needs to develop his blocking & become a complete TE.

But he's getting a lot better, just hope he stays on point & keeps handling his business off the field.

Glad to see Patchan back at DE, he is not a natural TE whatsoever. Hopefully, we can get something out of Polendey eventually.

But, Irvin Jr, Brevin Jordan & Will Mallory will make for a **** good TE group.

Also, if we ever decided to run a play action TE play in the Red zone he would score easy.

Out of the 2TE Goaline set, have him peel off the line after a quick block and slip into the back of the enzone he would never be covered.

Close to unstoppable and we NEVER run it.

I watched Irvin catch the ball and run and I thought, “he’s been on a D-1, tier-1, S&C program for a year?”

He might have good hands but he didn’t look like the most athletic or physically gifted TE I’ve ever seen. Not even close. I’m being charitable.

If Jordan can immediately grasp the playbook, Irvin will get as much PT next year as he has had this year.

When i see the rare jumbo 2TE set im always looking at irvin. He's actually gotten a lot better the last couple of weeks and didn't get abused like he did earlier in the season.

We're likely going to play in **** weather the next couple weeks so he's emerging at the perfect time.

He made a very nice play and demonstrated soft hands in the process. However, he looks a like he needs to really commit to UM's S&C program. He's carrying some bad weight right now. He's had some off the field problems as well. As you said, there will be a lot of talent at the position in 2018. He could get burried on the depth charts if he's not committed and careful. UM could really use him now.
